APYRON TECHNOLOGIES, INC. LAUNCHES NEW LINE OF ADSORPTIVE MEDIA TO HELP CUSTOMERS COMPLY WITH PROPOSED EPA ARSENIC REGULATIONS

March 2, 2000, Atlanta, Georgia - Apyron Technologies, Inc., a leading developer of innovative solutions for clean air and water resources, has developed a comprehensive line of adsorbent media to purify arsenic contaminated waters. This new line has been designed to provide an unprecedented level of customer versatility. Each of the four new media types has been engineered to meet particular environmental conditions, which can be further customized to meet site-specific requirements. As a result, Apyron is equipped to provide an unlimited number of arsenic removal options. Apyron's President and Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Leslie Story states, "With the EPA proposing more stringent Arsenic levels for drinking water, Apyron's new product line will provide our customers with more options than have ever been available."

The four new adsorbent media types introduced by Apyron are:
  • Aqua-Bind Arsenic™ XP - A high performance adsorbent media ideally suited for Point of Use (POU) and Point of Entry (POE) applications requiring Arsenic III or V removal.
  • Aqua-Bind Arsenic™ HP - An excellent high capacity media for removal of Arsenic V where regeneration is not required.
  • Aqua-Bind Arsenic™ EP - An economical media designed for small and large municipal water systems with the option for regeneration.
  • Aqua-Bind Arsenic™ AL - A low cost activated alumina suited for removal of low-level arsenic contamination with the option of regeneration.
